Launch of the SpaceX Falcon Heavy Rocket

For this post, I thought I would highlight the successful launch of the SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket. To this date, no other rocket is as powerful as the new Falcon Heavy Rocket by SpaceX. With the power to lift up 64 metric tons, the Falcon Heavy is the rocket of choice for launching large cargo, or potential astronauts, into space. CEO Elon Musk has done the impossible by designing reusable rockets that can land after launch. Thus, bringing down the cost of sending rockets into orbit and bringing down the barrier of entry into space.

The mission was deemed a success with both side core rockets landing successfully at Cape Canaveral, as well as the delivery of Elon Musk’s Roadster, into space. However, the main booster did perform a splash down into the Atlantic Ocean and will be towed back to shore. Overall, the mission was a success and it goes to show that with enough determination, and will power, you can accomplish the impossible. I look forward to seeing SpaceX’s next launch, on April 16, using the Falcon 9 rocket to deploy the TESS Satellite.
